Kate @ Coniston
On a bright Sunday morning, I headed out with Craig, Debbie and our model, Kate, to Coniston Lake. We parked on a small woodland path, only to be chased by an irate farmer in a Landrover shooing us off his land. It turned out that, every year, hundreds of people park on his private road when the Grizedale Rally stages are on, essentially hemming him into his house at the end of the dirt track. My charm and negotiating skills paid off, however, and he did allow us to shoot in the woods near (or on) his land.
Not bringing along bug spray was a huge mistake and we were soon covered in swarms of midges, the results of which all of us have only too painfully become acquainted with over the past week. Eventually, we descended the slopes and endud up at a pier on the Coniston Lake, where this shot was taken. I wanted a contemporary, light, airy feel with a bit of dynamism, and of course, a lovely model. The 4 a.m. start was worth it.
