I am a doctor, who keeps bugging people in my other role as shutterbug!

As a photographer, I consider myself an avid amateur. I have been interested in photography since I was knee high and am fortunate to have been encouraged by my parents. After using random 35mm point and shoots and taking loads of shots that would vaguely pass for photos, I bought my first digital camera, the Sony DSC-V1. I then moved to a Sony DSC-P200, which was probably not a piece of equipment that I would write home about.

My current kit includes:

Canon EOS-20D SLR
Canon EF-S 17-85m IS USM lens
Canon 100mm Macro F2.8 lens
Canon 580EX-II Flash
Velbon Sherpa Tripod
Manfrotto MN 322RC2 Heavy Duty Grip Action Ball Head
A pair of Elinchrom D-Lite 2 heads

I have been a member of the Torbay Photographic Society.

I have shot with the following lovely people:
2007 Serenity, Nicola, Steffie & Will, Celtic Maiden
2008 Allie, Nikkita, Kyla Hopkins, Demi, Donna, Simmy Wilson, Jazz Kaur, Sonia, Mar'Ush Hair & Beauty, Martinique, Fiona York, Katie Green
2009 Andi, Lozie, Sanchia, Linsey, Lisa, Leyla, Lindsay, Sophia Menga

The occasional merit:

- Another one, 'Hindsight', won me the `Digital Print of the Year' running trophy for 2007, Torbay Photographic Society.
- 'Tuppence A Bag' was exhibited at the Harris Museum, Preston, in Nov 2008.
- 'Unimpressed' won 2nd in the open category at a Preston Photographic Society competition, 2009.
- 'Silverlight' won 1st in the theme category 'The Human Body & Parts Thereof' at the same competition.
